Summary: We respect your biometric privacy
Your photo is processed locally inside your web browser using HTML5 Canvas. We do not transmit your photos to cloud servers, we do not store facial biometric data, and we do not sell your personal information.
1. Local In-Browser Image Processing
When you upload or take a selfie on FreshPassPhoto, the image file is handled directly by your browser’s local JavaScript environment (HTML5 Canvas). Cropping, color adjustments, chroma keying, and printable grid generation occur on your device’s processor and memory. Once you close your browser tab, the temporary image buffer is cleared.
2. No Facial Recognition or Biometric Databases
We do not extract facial geometric vectors, biometric identifiers, or create facial profiles. We do not use facial recognition algorithms to identify individuals, nor do we sell or share facial images with third-party artificial intelligence training models.
3. Email Information Collection
Before downloading your final photo or printable sheet, we ask you to provide your email address. This email address is sent securely to our service (and logged to freshpassphoto@gmail.com) to provide your download confirmation, prevent automated bulk scraping, and optionally send travel and photo tips if you opt in. You may unsubscribe from any future communications at any time.
4. Anonymous Analytics & Cookies
We collect aggregate, anonymous statistical usage metrics (such as page views, country preset selections, and total generated downloads) to help us maintain server stability and improve user experience. We use standard Google Tag Manager (AW-18187137941) for performance and conversion measurement.
5. Third-Party Links
Our website contains reference links to official government agencies (such as travel.state.gov, gov.uk, and canada.ca) as well as Buy Me a Coffee for voluntary donations. We have no control over the privacy practices of external third-party sites.
